Wisteria...beautiful but destructive!  I love the way it looks & smells but it slowly smothers any other bush or tree it grows on & can actually pull buildings apart!! If you add it to your garden, be sure to give it a very sturdy trellis or support system to grow on! Some place away from your house! I have seen very old Wisteria that had a base root/stem as large as a medium size tree trunk.
