Lace Bowl & Doily Hummingbird with Fuchsias My Yahoo group has been busy again suggesting new bowls! It seems so many people love hummingbirds and Fuchsias together! This is a buff-bellied hummingbird from the Southern US. The Fuchsias were taken from a photograph I received from Erica's garden.
Lace Bowl & Doily Poinsettias A sophisticated bowl of poinsettias to welcome the Holiday season. The three bowl side designs are basically the same design but the flowers have different numbers of color changes. The red uses four shades, the pink three shades and the white flower has two shades. In this way you can decide how dramatic you want your flowers!
Lace Bowl & Doily Coral Reef This bowl gives you a chance to use bright bold colors. I have used some metallic thread to give it even more sparkle. If you want, you could also add some hot fix crystal *bubbles*. The color charts are done with regular embroidery thread colors, but I have included a list of the metallic thread I've used in the instructions.
Lace Bowl & Doily - Chinese Butterflies Butterflies to mix and match! You receive 3 different bowl sides and doily petals so you can make a bowl of all one butterfly as illustrated or combine them in different ways. These butterflies can be stitched in unlimited color combinations and would look great done partially in metallic threads. For example, substituting the black thread with gold metallic would give them a whole new look.
Lace Bowl & Doily Paisley Crystals Loving sparkly things as much as I do it was only a matter of time before I made a bowl using the great new hot fix crystals. This bowl and doily set would be great for weddings and anniversaries. Using the multicolored version you could match the colors to those of the wedding party.
Lace Bowl & Doily Caladium I was browsing through some pictures of caladiums I had planted in pots for my patio several years ago and had to make designs of them. There is a companion set of regular designs, Caladiums. Since caladiums come in so many variations of greens, reds and pinks you can try all different combinations for these designs.
Lace Bowl & Doily - Roosters Roosters and Flowers surrounded with a touch of French Country Kitchen. You can make a bowl all roosters, all flowers or just one majestic rooster placed in front. The bowl comes in three sizes and coordinates with More Roosters!
Lace Bowl & Doily Stained Glass Berries Chantal calls herself *the stained glass fairy*. I have to totally agree. She does magical things with pattern and color. Chantal has agreed to allow me to digitize her work and this is the first of many more to come. She has so many great patterns I have a hard time choosing which to do next!
Lace Bowl & Doily Pink Magnolias Featured on the cover of Machine Embroidery Magazine Pink Magnolias, white lace and rich green leaves - a very romantic combination. This bowl and doily are taken from artwork by Pierre-Joseph Redoute, the most celebrated artist in the history of botanical art. I took the liberty of changing the creamy white magnolia to pink, but I think it would be equally beautiful done in the original cream shades. Featured on the cover of Machine Embroidery Magazine
