The Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer is a Roman Catholic missionary Congregation founded by Saint Alphonsus Liguori at Scala, near Amalfi, Italy for the purpose of labouring among the neglected country people in the neighbourhood of Naples. Members of the Congregation, Catholic priests and consecrated religious brothers, are known as Redemptorists whom are often associated with the image of Our Mother of Perpetual Help and globally minister in more than 77 countries around the world.

St. Alphonsus Liguori "The Rock Church" - City Landmark #70. Nicknamed "The Rock" because of its use of rough cut stone, the church located at 1118 North Grand Boulevard was constructed in 1868.  The steeple was added in 1893 and the baptistery in 1894.  The English Gothic style church was designed by Rev. Louis Dold.
