Running from the mistakes of her past, Tessa Taylor heads to the uppermost reaches of Michigan, planning to serve as the new teacher of the children of miners. She quickly learns the town has requested a male teacher, but Percival Updegraff, superintendent and chief mine clerk, says she can stay through winter since it's too late to replace her. Tessa can't help but thank him and say she is in his debt.
Freefall by Kristen Heitzmann. FABULOUS book. What I love about KH as an author is that she writes Christian fiction without being cheesy about it. She writes about passion and struggles and temptations that REAL people have in relationships. I love that it's not all sugar-coated like a lot of Christian Fiction tends to be.
