unique sculpture, unique creationsSkeletons in Love in Thailand  The phrase "Until Death Separates Us" which used to be the promise of a marriage apparently did not apply to this statue. Two statues of human skeleton is made of concrete sitting berpengangan hand and smiling broadly, in the midst of a fertile Salakeawkoo Sculpture Park. Looks beautiful and romantic in a place a bit creepy.

Hanging Coffin, Sagada, Mountain Province, Philippines

Wuyi Mountain - The mysterious hanging coffins of China are located in the Fujian Province. It is an ancient Asian funeral custom. They are said to appear in the Chinese history, as early as in the Zhou Dynasty

‘Baby Trees’.    In Tana Toraja, Indonesia, when a baby dies, a mother cuts a hole in a tree and places the child inside, sometimes in a coffin or basket. A tree may be used for a few babies and for decades.    Photo credit: Derek Brown

What a beautiful thought! On the island of Sulawesi, in Indonesia, newborn infants who die are buried in the trunks of giant trees. The people there believe that the child’s soul will rise up into the heavens through the tree.

Underwater cemetery

Capel Celyn graveyard in Llyn Celyn, Wales. It now sits underwater after the village was flooded in the to create a water supply for Liverpool. Kind of creepy, kind of cool.

"Transi de René de Chalon," Ligier Richier, I know some may find this gruesome, and it is, but there's images of Jesus nailed to a cross & no one blinks an eye. Transi de René de Chalon is an "example of how transient earthly glory is.
