Foliations are Superpositions. Henri Poincare’, the same French scientist who also seeded the ideas later developed by Minkowski, started in his thesis a new chapter devoted to bifurcations.  Bifurcations are considered in a wide range of physical phenomenons, the most known being the Dynamical Systems.
