General Motors was one of the automobile businesses that boomed during the 20's. It was even above Ford motors including some of the well known brands like Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Buick, and more. Not only did they sell cars but other brands that weren't automotive like Frigidaire . GM is just one example of industrial reorganization and consolidation among companies. By the end of the decade almost 8,000 smaller companies were taken over by large corporations.
