Sewing tip:  To finish the edge and give it a bit of weight, I used  2" strips of the self mesh, stitching with a double needle and matching as best I could at the cut edge.  The 2 layers are stitched in a 1 to 1 ratio (no stretching) along the straight edges, and I stretched the strip a bit around the neck to make it hug the body.  After sewing, I trimmed the strip close to the stitching line, so it is 2 layers along all the edges...
