The market continued to be in consolidation mode with the Sensex rising 87.77 points to 27600.03 and the Nifty up 27 points at 8376.45. About 1147 shares have advanced, 1533 shares declined, and 136 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
TeamLease Services Limited, one of India’s largest composite staffing company, today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire ASAP Info Systems Private Limited. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
The Indian equity market closed with smart gains extending its winning streak for the third consecutive trading session. The BSE Sensex opened at 25,402, touched an intra-day high of 25,573 and low of 25,372. It finally ended with a gain of 174 points at 25,494.
Nifty Media index is trading down by nearly 1.5% at 3168 level. The Network18 is the top loser in the index trading lower by nearly 4% at Rs 40.85 per share. Eros Media is trading lower by 3.5% at Rs 244.35
The market has opened flat as the Sensex is down 13.63 points at 27630.25. The Nifty is up 7.40 points at 8377.65. About 274 shares have advanced, 151 shares declined, and 69 shares are unchanged.
The BSE Sensex opened lower by 25 points at 29395, while the Nifty50 opened lower by 14 points at the 9093 mark.
Benchmark indices ended the day on a lower note, but not before staging a recovery from the day’s low post the RBI’s policy announcement. The Street had factored in the central bank’s decision. A rally in real estate stocks could have helped in the recovery.
The BSE Sensex opened higher by 55.12 points at 28716.70, while the Nifty50 opened higher by 11.55 points at the 8890.75 mark.
Equity benchmarks extended losses with the Nifty falling below 7700 for the first time since August 2014, down 114.65 points or 1.47 percent to 7694.35. The Sensex plunged 349.32 points or 1.36 percent to 25392.24.
