The finished playdough only has a slight hint of coconut. I would not call it “coconut scented” however my house smelled wonderful while I was making the playdough and that is more than worth it.  Plus I love the fact that when my kids are playing with the playdough they are getting a healthy dose of coconut oil naturally rubbed into their skin, much better than vegetable oil in my opinion.
