Bronze oval brooch: two-piece construction; openwork upper shell with nine cast bosses; cast anthropomorphic masks and degenerate animal decoration; lower shell with frieze of Jellinge style ribbon interlace animals.  (N.B.:  The note about Jellinge style decoration came from the museum's website).  Findspot:  Aizkraukle, Latvia.  In the British Museum. Date: 10th century CE.
