Natalya Fyodorovna Meklin – World War II Combat Pilot - (1922–2005) was a much decorated World War II combat pilot in one of the three women-only Soviet air regiments. They were nicknamed the ‘Night Witches‘ by their German opponents.

"Katya Budanova (Катя Буданова), was a fighter pilot in the Soviet Air Force during World War II. With 11 air victories, she was one of the world's two female fighter aces along with Lydia Litvyak." She chose fighter ace over fashion model, apparently.

Each of these women were the first women to become doctors in their respective countries.
