We made a goal to spend our days outside last year. To spend them with our daughters in the places that make us excited. . We lost the convenience of solo travel but gained the cheek lifting joy of seeing the little ones out here with us.

Out on the bikes today with @elibclark Nothing makes me more excited than a early season ride . . . @polerstuff

Windy walk along the Hillary Trail. The rain has stopped and we spent some time at the beach. I think breaking routine is what I like most about travel. After a long winter of deep snow some beach time is a needed break.

Wandering like a giant among the new trees where the fire burned years ago. The ability of trees to come back from a disaster feels like an overlooked miracle. As Jeff Goldblum said "Life uh finds a way."

Frost was thick on the windows when I woke up before the light. I forced myself back to sleep a few times before sneaking out of camp. Avalanches thundered near on nearby slopes and for a while I had this view to myself. This photo is a happy memory.

Late morning has always been my favorite time to explore. The sun is just warming up and the day feels fully awake. Thanks @wanakahelihikes and @aspiringheli for showing me a new view.

I heard rumors and then enthusiastic tales of a whole river of hot water. No matter what part of the creek we swam in it was all as warm as a hot bath. Surrounded by Jurassic sized ferns and a jungle of green it is a prehistoric feeling swimming here. . . Thanks @rohanmaclaren for the recco

From last fall when we followed the last breath of warmth down the Rocky Mountains. . . When I started this path a year ago I had no idea it would be more than a hobby. It's been fun to create new stories and you all have been incredible. Thank you.

I think what impressed me most in Peru is the grit of the people. The work that goes into farming an acre of wheat at 12000 feet with only hand tools and a donkey. Even though the conditions are hard to comprehend it's beautiful.

Morning bike rides in the woods of Montana. The weather was 36 degrees but 100 yards from this slash pile started by the Forest Service it was hot enough to turn my cheeks red. @alexstrohl nearly melted riding by.
