Guava  Guava plants will be the star attraction when grown in a bright sunroom. The tropical tree needs plenty of space, light and warmth. Unless you live in a climate with warm winters, bring the plant inside during late fall. Ripe guavas have a sweet, minty, pineapple flavor.

Rose Mallow (bad pic :)) - *thinking '15 prune 50%, winter in window, put in bed spring '16, overwinter in ground.*  Winterizing Ground-Grown Plants: 1) Cut back at 1st frost. Either leave 12" old growth or cut to the ground. 2) thick layer of mulch. 12' layer provides insulation, keeping them cool without danger of becoming too warm or freezing. OR: prune it 50%, wash off, bring inside to warm, sunny spot before you get any frost.
