The Tower Hill Memorial is a national war memorial on the south side of Trinity Square Gardens, just to the north of the Tower of London. It commemorates those from the Merchant Navy and fishing fleets who died during both world wars and have "no grave but the sea".  The First World War memorial takes the form of a vaulted corridor, 21.5 metres long, 7 metres wide and 7 to 10 metres high. Inside are 12 bronze plaques engraved with 12,000 names.

The car ferry Badger crosses Lake Michigan from Michigan to Wisconsin. A great boat ride! I was on this Ship a number of times as a kid crossing Lake MI. One time we were caught in a Gale with waves. My Mother was very seasick and kinda scared.

On May 3rd, 1945 (3 days AFTER Hitlers suicide) Cap Arcona was carrying some 4,500 prisoners from Nazi concentration camps to be relocated, due to the Russian Advance. The British RAF (which knew of its passengers,) opened rocket fire and set the ship ablaze. 350 of the 4500 former camp prisoners survived. The captain used a machete to hack prisoners attempting to flee the burning liner, making his way to a lifeboat. He survived, along with hundreds of SS troops...
