Bugs on your bumpers and windshield? Put 1 dryer sheet in about 1/4 spray bottle of warm water. Spray on the bug marks and wipe with another dryer sheet. THIS IS A MIRACLE!! They wipe right off. I hope this works on love-bugs!
DIY Reuseable Dryer Sheets: to make: buy a 4 pack of sponges, cut them in half, place in a container with lid, mix equal parts liquid fabric softener and water, pour over sponges, to use: remove 1 or 2 sponges and squeeze out excess liquid, throw in dryer with clothes, return to container and reuse.
To keep dust from settling on furniture, baseboards, lampshades, picture frames, etc I mix about a tablespoon of fabric softener with 2 quarts of water and dissolve it completely. Then I use a terry cloth rag and wring it out really well so it's damp. Then I wipe down anything with a hard surface including leather and wooden furniture. There's no film and the fabric softener repels dust. It's great for blinds and less costly than dryer sheets.
