I slept through the night, entertaining myself if I woke up and no one was around"( Alvarez 44) patria was independent starting from a young age and as she got older she didn't change much, she cared for everybody and wanted things a certain way but wasn't one for being rebellious.

He also takes it upon himself to invite her & her family to the party just so he can get a dance with her and touch on her. Talk about no limits.
Characterization Step 3- Stated by Kalliah's Group, “But really what he was planning all along was to let her study for five whole years only to render that degree useless in the end” (Alvarez 138). This shows how Trujillo is two-faced. The actions that he displayed to Minerva show that he is a person who shouldn't be trusted because she studied for 5 years only to get her degree but not be able to practice it. He has been proved of this in many other situations as well.
