CITY POTHOLE MOSAICS, BY JIM BACHOR

CITY POTHOLE MOSAICS, BY JIM BACHOR

Jim Bachor is making a functional and artistic statement by filling in potholes on Chicago streets with one-of-a-kind mosaics. Inspired by ancient art styles in Italy, he has filled about seven potholes. He says the mosaics are, "Meant more as a sense of civic pride than a form of complaint against the city, as the potholes are an inevitable part of living in Chicago." They aren't meant to be a permanent fix, but have surely inspire a lot of smiles around the city this spring!
