A friend posted asking for tips on decreasing emotional eating. I had a few thoughts on the subject so I thought I'd share them with you... Write down your emotion (a one word feeling) before you eat anything. Figuring out WHY we eat (and overeat) is game-changing. For some... it's not stress or loneliness but rather a sheer source of pleasure! And so we have to ask ourselves is there a healthier way to experience pleasure? Because the pleasure of food is short term. Then (for many) comes the guilt frustration and shame. Is that really pleasurable?
