Back in middle school, my friends and I used a very simple coded language for writing secret messages. I saw some posts about needing to hide one’s beliefs from partners/bosses/parents so I wanted to share it with you!

Bair Kono (Bairei Kono) was a very famous painter of flower painting school (kacho-GA) in the ancient capital of Japan - Kyoto. He began to study painting at age 8in the school of naturalistic painting Maruyama. Then studied the reproduction of botanical subjects in their natural environment. Considered expressive brushwork and restrained.The pinnacle of Japanese prints of the late 1800's (the Meiji period).
