saw some second graders doing these last week...freaking awesome!!!

Reading and Math Power Towers out of dixie cups and pringles cans. Put sight word flashcard or write math fact on each cup and then they have to say word or sum before they can stack cups into tower)

Cute stacking numbers idea- great for learning, sequencing, or just fun...all from left over cardboard rolls!!

Tower of numbers: Each roll of toilet paper has a number on it. These toilet paper rolls will need to be placed in the correct order to create a tower. (Place a circle piece of paper between the rolls to make it easier to balance.

Jungle Vine Gross Motor Activity     Pull some chairs together and thread green crepe paper or yarn through to make some jungle vines for your little ones to crawl through.   This was great practice for crawling, climbing, scurrying, and shimmying.    This set up also encouraged tons of great imaginative play.  In the photo above, Lena had asked me to make her some 'snakes' that she spread along the jungle floor.
