San Antonio Spurs Hire First Female Assistant Coach
Here's some exciting news for sports fans: Time is reporting that the San Antonio Spurs have hired Becky Hammon as the team's new assistant coach, making her the first woman to hold a coaching position in the NBA during the regular season.
5. June 7, 2007: Spurs vs. Cavaliers, Game 1. Heading into the series, all the talk was about LeBron James, who'd just decimated the Pistons (remember that Game 5 explosion?) and had the Cavs looking strong.
