Containing 10% of the population, Accra is the most populated city in Ghana with 2 million people living here. It is a prosperous city containing the head offices of all the major banks and trading firms, insurance agencies, post offices, and the Accra Central Library. Its city is made up of a mixture of modern buildings, shanty towns, castles and lively markets where everything is sold from food to exotic things that you never knew existed.
Ghana, West Africa ~ visiting the markets in Ghana was one of the best ways to feel more like a local. Such amazing activity, stunning fabrics, handmade beads, local produce, and so many friendly faces. I miss it so much!!
