Late-Ottoman 'kartal kollu cepken' (jacket with eagle sleeves; also called: ‘yaprak kollu’ = leaf sleeves), for men. ‘Goldwork’ (metallic thread) and black silk embroidery on combing wool.  Ca. 1900; bought in Istanbul, but the place of origin is uncertain.  (Kavak Folklor Ekibi & Costume Collection-Antwerpen/Belgium).  (SOLD to the ‘Etnografisch Museum, Antwerpen’, as part of a full costume).
