Medieval pouch; another Etsy item which looks quite simple to make. If I made one, I'd try to move the lacing-holes higher up on the shield-shaped tabs, to allow room to tool and dye a coat-of-arms on the blank "shield". (You could probably even draw on the leather with laundry-grade Sharpies in heraldic colors, if you don't have the appropriate color leather dyes handy.)
