got a new language to learn and  to fuel me. will be building a microservice in scala using finatra then docker-izing it and running it in the . will try and share the resources i use to learn scala with you all first step is reading this book recommended to me by a coworker (love the title) oh and opening my laptop (lols). i've also taken the first course in martin o's functional programming series on coursera if you are interested it's free! #learnnewthings cily

got the day off to drink  work on blog posts & tweak the blog a bit . feeling how far we've come as i write/code next to this TYPEWRITER. it's contrasts like these that make me feel the power of technology and grateful to work in the field. i love seeing things come to (virtual) life before me- making and creating and tweaking and sharing with people it's worth all the little frustrations and journeys to that end product . #techiscool
