Following the Paleo diet doesn’t mean you have to forgo everyone’s favorite seasonal recipes. With all the wonderful holiday flavors packed into this paleo pumpkin pie, you’ll never miss the “traditional” crust – I promise! [[I've never been a big crust person anyway!]]
Pop Crisps + Hummus! Delicious and very filling snack! Pop crisps are found at Sobey's in the bakery section. How to add them into your diet: 10 pop crisps can be used as a carbohydrate option (or 5 pop crisps can be used in place of 1/2 cup of brown rice or a medium sweet potato). Use 2 - 3 tablespoons of hummus but drop a serving of pistachios, almonds or peanut butter from your diet to make room for the hummus. Thank you to Chelsie Ogden for bringing this snack to my attention. Enjoy!
Coconut Banana Bread- A while ago I considered making a recipe with coconut oil since I’ve been curious about it for quite some time and I’m a coconut fanatic. I was just about to go out and purchase some coconut oil when Kelapo contacted me. They offered to send me some virgin coconut oil. Right away I knew I had to make my Coconut Banana Bread but replace the butter with coconut oil.
