Yesterday people around the world celebrated Equal Pay Day to raise awareness of the gender pay gap between men and women of the same position.   According to the National Committee on Equal Pay Equal Pay Day was commemorated on April 4th this year as it symbolises how far into the new year an American woman must work in order to make the same amount of money as her male counterpart in 2016.  Regardless of sex gender or identity The Coco believes that equal work deserves equal pay.  .

Dutch product designer Christien Meindertsma offers a critique of disposable fashion with her latest installation Fibre Market currently on display at the London Design Museum.   Meindertsma explores the role technology can play in textile recycling while also shedding light on rampant material mislabeling throughout the fashion industry. By 2030 global demand for water is expected to grow by 50% according to the UN.   This year's theme for #WorldWaterDay is focused on encouraging better wastewater management. Right now over 80% of wastewater generated by society flows back into the ecosystem without being treated or reused.
