Sphalerite with Quartz - $5000 5.7 x 5.7 cm  NY2-350 - Glowing like a coal in even subtle lighting, this large (3.2 cm), lustrous sphalerite crystal has translucency reminiscent of fine Spanish material. A contrasting bed of quartz prisms adds flash and balance to the piece. The right side of the specimen features crystallized sphalerite as well, though photos don't show them to correct effect here. A high quality sphalerite from this now famous Chinese material.
