This is what we will be doing in the 1st/2nd split class for Chihuli inspired art. These are coffee filters colored with water colors or even food coloring. Then place them over upside-down mason jars and spray with Spray starch. Let them dry and you have beautiful "chihuli" like bowls.

Tissue paper cut-outs on canvas.  Spray with water until the colors begin to bleed.  Allow to dry completely, tip canvas and tissue should fall off.  If it doesn't, allow to dry more.  Coat with a clear coat preserver.  (Some tissue is color-fast and won't bleed; test first.)
