I wanted to make an egg shaped cake for Easter. No special novelty pans are used. I just baked a sheet cake and cut out an egg shape out of it. The whole cake is covered in fondant ( I used ready made fondant which I bought from my local baking shop) and the deco on the cake is in royal icing. I am not a fan of bright colors so all the icing on the cake is of light pastel colors. The cake turned out very pretty and elegant.
