FABRIKEN FURILLEN on Design Locations. The Fabriken Furillen is situated on the Swedish island Gotland in the Baltic Sea. Commercial photographer Johan Hellström created the eco-friendly hotel in a former gravel quarry in 2001, combining Scandinavian interior design with the industrial surrounding. The restaurant serves dishes based on seasonal foods, local vegetables, herbs and a rustic simplicity. Some of the products come from the hotels-own farm.
