Maybe a little bit mainstream, but a trip to Chicago wouldn't be complete with out a proper deep dish pizza. This chain was right around the corner from our hotel called Giordanos.

Sucking pig, vin jaune, boudin noir, hay, salsify. No idea what the hell half of those ingredients are, but those the salsify served like steroids for food.

This was one amazing, and it sounded like the least exciting on the menu. Goes to show you! It's a strawberry sherbet wrapped by filo dough, and served with plain vanilla ice cream. It was so good!
