Justin's nut butters - all contain palm fruit oil. What a shame that this delicious "vegan" product contains an unnecessary ingredient that is contributing to the destruction of rainforests and the slaughtering of orangutans and other animals who live there :( Luckily, there are many nut butters without palm oil - just check the ingredient list before buying or make your own!
A few months ago I Pinned about The Tosti Factory, a farm in the middle of Amsterdam that produces everything that is needed for a tosti, a ham/cheese-sandwich that is. The idea is to show meat comes from real animals and bread and butter is a product from nature too. Next weekend the pigs and cows will "meet their maker" during Slaughter Fest!
why #vegan ~ one of the worst cruelties is the separation of mother cow from her calf. The breaking of this natural, strong maternal bond is traumatic to both cow and calf and should be reason enough for all compassionate people to reject dairy products.
Lanolin. Derived from the oil glands of sheep, Lanolin is highly allergenic. Those sheep usually live a miserable life in Bikram yoga-esque heat, and once their usefulness has ended, they’re exported for slaughter. It’s basically the saddest, hottest, sweatiest life ever. Where It’s Hiding: Skincare products, moisturizer, conditioner, creamy cosmetics like lipstick. Kind Alternative: Booda Organics Booda Butter, $14, available at Booda Organics.
