Pasta with Mixed Mushrooms and Thyme We used fresh buttons and shiitake as well as dried porcini. Any combo of fresh mushrooms will work, but always include the porcini for its flavorful soaking liquid. Use non dairy butter.
We've added sautéed mushrooms to the classic—and very simple—spaghetti with garlic and oil, but the dish can still be made in no time at all. Regular white mushrooms are excellent here; portobellos or wild mushrooms would be great, too.
Creamy Mushroom-Fontina Pasta-Used gruyere instead. What I did: Sautee mushrooms and onions. Make cheese sauce (butter, flour, milk, shredded cheese). Stir onions and mushrooms in to sauce. Mix with Pasta.
