This week's quote comes from the author of 'Eat, Pray, Love.' “You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate.” - Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love
Napkin, Flanders, c. 1570-1600. Linen damask. With a portrait of Queen Elizabeth and the arms of Anne Boleyn. Note design is reversed on one half. A spectacular table cloth with the same portrait of the queen was ordered by Sir Thomas Gresham, founder of the Royal Exchange. It was used at a banquet attended by the Queen to mark the opening of the Royal Exchange in 1571, at the Guildhall.
