Alphabet fly cards are cut and laminated. Place all flies in the middle of players so that the letters can be seen. Each player is given a fly swatter. The caller says a letter and the players try to quickly find the fly and swat it with their fly swatter.
Players select a letter of the alphabet. One player represents the lowercase letter and the other, the capital letter. Players take turns placing an alphabet letter in one of the nine boxes. As each letter is placed, the player must identify the letter and if it is a capital or lowercase letter. Alternatively, laminate the card and have students write the letters with a dry – erase marker to practice letter formation. The first player to make a line with their cards/writing wins.

Bug Splat Alphabet Recognition Game
Place bug alphabet cards on the table. Players are given a fly swatter. The caller says an alphabet letter and players try to identify or swat the bug with the said letter first. Players record the letter swatted by writing it on their recording sheet.
