Diversity: Every person that you encounter is unique to our world. This is true in our classrooms. Each child comes form a different family, in a different background, and have different beliefs. All of that is okay! Everyone is allowed to be different and should be accepted for being their self.

I'm an American who can tell you the difference between Chinese, Japanese, and Korean dress and language but not any of the Native American cultures or languages... Sad. "Thank you" is a universal concept, it is important to people to be able to express gratitude. So, languages (cultures) have evolved to include words with the agreed upon meaning to express the concept.
