They are smooth beach stones (around 1.5 - 2 inches in size) that are meticulously hand-painted with acrylics and sealed with a glossy varnish. Since each stone is hand-painted, there will be variations. You may not receive the exact stone featured in the photos, but the design will be the same. The size and shape of each stone will differ slightly. The backs are not painted (you will see the natural rock surface). I do this on all my stones for environmental reasons, and to enable you to see the beautiful stone itself! PLEASE NOTE: I do not paint the backs of my rocks unless otherwise specified. This is because many of my customers hide their rocks in parks as part of the "Kindness Rocks" movement. Public parks frown on placing painted items on the ground. In addition, I like to keep the natural surface visible. So your design will feature a "frame" of the natural rock on the front and the back will remain the natural stone.
