This quilted half-square table topper / wallhanging has been created using "Maria's Sky" fabric collection from Betsy Chutchian and Moda, featuring reproduction fabrics from the 1850s. Named for Maria Mitchell, the prints in this collection date back to 1840-60. Maria -- pronounced Mariah -- was an astronomer, mathematician, active suffragette, and anti-slavery activist. Maria's life story was the inspiration for Betsy Chutchian to create this beautiful fabric line. The bold and rich colors in this collection consist of deep turkey reds, indigo blues, browns, and cream.
