My husband and I love exploring both wild caves and show caves everywhere we travel. The natural color combinations that we see underground inspired me to make these geode shirts. I use blue, bronze and gray dyes and cover the shirt with ice. Every shirt melts and splits in it's own unique way. There will be greys, gold, greens, blues, orange and even a little purple. I don't know how much of each color will be present until I rinse it out. This randomness is what creates the authentic geode look! I use the highest grade procion fiber reactive dyes. All items are soaked in a soda ash solution prior to dyeing so that the dyes can fully bind with the fabric.
