SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND TIARA, 1900S. Designed as a series of thirteen graduated stylised ribbon and scroll elements, set with circular-, single-cut, cushion-shaped and oval diamonds, each highlighted at the centre with an oval sapphire, inner circumference approximately 485mm.
A 19th century ruby, natural pearl and diamond crown, circa 1890. The openwork circlet of scrolling foliate design set throughout with rose and old brilliant-cut diamonds, with cushion-shaped ruby highlights, culminating in alternating claw-set diamonds and pear-shaped pearl finials, inner circumference 26.0cm.
A late 19th century diamond tiara, circa 1880. Each scrolling foliate panel of leaves, buds and articulated drops set with cushion-shaped, rose and old brilliant-cut diamonds, all supported by a curved channel set row of similarly cut stones, peaking to the front with diamond-set trefoils, articulated drops and a central claw-set cushion-shaped diamond, the tiara enhanced by a spray of black feathers, tortoiseshell hair comb fitting, fitted leather case by A. Auger, Place des Victoires, Paris.
