RT2370 on Route 86 at Romford Station May'74
A few 'local' bus shots follow in case I am neglecting the bus people out there! On a visit from my new home in Scotland back to my home town on 8/5/74 I found that the RT's were still on my old local route 86 but that the traffic was being routed via Eastern Road - hence the RM that can be seen turning into South Street. Roadworks under the station bridge have also required a temporary bus stop - but not for the 86 which ran on a hundred yards to a layby stop beyond Victoria Road.
021-TD type bus at Muswell Hill terminus
Taken from a similar position to pic 005, but much closer, this view of Leyland TD 124 parked at Muswell Hill bus terminus was taken before the RF type buses were introduced. In the background you can see a Sainsbury's grocer's shop with the shutters down - perhaps this was a Sunday? This was in the days before the domination of the supermarket and when the name Tesco and Safeway were unknown.
