Hammersmith trolley bus 1960 outside Guinness Trust Fulham Palace Rd. This is a mish-mash of memories...a) I remeer the trolleys...but not in this part of London b) 1967-1970 and late 1970s - early 1980s I lived not too far from this road.
London Transport: RM996 (WLT996) + RM1258 (258CLT) on Route 281 with RM1116 (116CLT) on Route 285, all from Fulwell Garage, in Wood Street Bus Stand, Kingston
Not sure what a number of 281's (there were more behind these) were doing in the Wood Street Bus Stand as the 281 rarely turned short in Kingston. It may have been a Sunday which would explain the presence of the 285 which on other days ran on to New Malden, but the 281 usually worked the full route.
Wimbledon Town hall early 1960's LT L3 1381 Trolleybus
Nice early 1960's photo of London transport L3 trolleybus 1381 on route 604 towards Hampton Court is seen turning outside Wimbledon Town Hall to start it's journey.
116-North Finchley Trolleybus terminus in the 1950's
A nice companion piece to picture 009 and a good view of the overhead wiring in place when the terminus was in its heyday. Photo - Peter Moore
180-London Bridge in the 1940's
A splendid view of LT31 with what looks like an STL behind. Again, I think this is London Bridge Street, although I'm not 100% sure. According to Buses At Work website, RT's from Muswell Hill garage were working this route from 1950 onwards, so this shot is from the 1940's, although it may be earlier. Comments/info welcome. Photographer unknown - but a great shot!
