Punjab also spelt Panjab, is a state in the northwest of the Republic of India, forming part of the larger Punjab region. The state is bordered by the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh to the east, Haryana to the south and southeast, Rajasthan to the southwest, and the Pakistani province of Punjab to the west.

The Golden Temple (ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ)

Golden temple is the holy shrine of Sikhism. Everyday thousands of people came there. In the Gurudwara complex there are many things to see like Golden Temple, Akal Takhat, Atall Sahib, Gurudwara baba Deep Singh ji, Bhora Sahib Etc.

Quila Mubarak

Qila Mubarak has two main parts, which were built by two royals. One of them is Qila Androon i.e. the interior portion, built by Maharaja Ala Singh. The other part of the palace is Qila Mubarak, which is between Qila Androon and the outer walls, build by Maharaja Karam Singh.

The Chhatbir Zoo initially called as Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park situated close to Sahibzada Ajit Singh nagar.It is an abode to a large number of variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. The lion safari is the most interesting part about the Chattbir Zoo found in proximity of Chandigarh.

Fatehgarh Sahib Gurudwara

The Aam-Khas Bagh Complex was quite famous for its perfect air conditioning system which Mughals used to call "Sarad Khana". Along with air conditioning system, there existed Sheesh Mahal, Daulat khana-e-Khaas, the tank and the Hamam which possessed some unique methodology for heating the water.

Bir Moti Bagh Wildlife Sanctuary was one of several prized hunting reserves of Patiala’s royal house. The sanctuary covers an area of approximately 654 hectares. The main sanctuary is home to a variety of wildlife, notably, chital, hog deer, wild boar, jackal, peafowl, myna etc.
