John O'Conner created a special commission for The Morgan Stanley Garden for Great Ormond Street Hospital - a bronze sculpture of a child like figure, entitled 'Joy', which stands on a plinth at the top of the water canal that runs through the Show Garden. This sculpture was created to show the effervescence of childhood and the joy of life. The Morgan Stanley Garden for Great Ormond Street Hospital was designed by Chris Beardshaw. The Morgan Stanley Garden for Great Ormond Street Hospital features an oak pavilion, made from three interlocking structures crafted from French oak. Enchanted Wood, a company from Herefordshire, built the oak structures, Chris Beardshaw designed the oak detailing, which was crafted by Nigel Ferguson Fabricators, who are based in Gwent, in Wales.
