The Avenue Cookery School offers one week and two week cookery courses as well as day and evening classes for all ages from teenagers upwards. The courses are fun and informative. Putney Lower Common is a part of Wimbledon and Putney Commons, lying about 1.5 miles north of the rest, between the Lower Richmond Road and the River Thames. The Commons consist of woodland, scrubland, heathland, and mown recreation areas and there are also a number of ponds. They are the home to a wide variety of bird, animal and plant life.
