Aurora in Kitdalen, Norway
Aurora in Kitdalen, Norway. Canon 1DX camera, Nikon 14-24 mm lens at 14 mm and f 2.8, 2.0 swc exposure, ISO 8000. Does this look like some exotic mythical bird (or am I seeing things?). Hope you enjoy! After Midnight Landscapes //Facebook Thanks for the kind comments. It never ceases to astound me just how nice people are on Flickr. Please join me at: Website Facebook Instagram Blog

The aurora angel!
Had this season’s first experience with the auroras last night, and what a show we got! In this picture I think it looks like the auroras are forming an angel in the sky. No wonder that back in the days some people thought that the auroras were spirits flying over the sky! This one is best seen in large and on black background, all comments and favs are greatly appreciated! Have a nice weekend folks!
Aurora corona, Håkøya, Troms 09.10.12.
I was out on a "regular" Aurora shoot, which was quite good, in Ersfjorden, outside Tromsø, Norway. On my way home, while driving my car, the sky exploded above me, looking like this! I had to find a place with little light pollution, emergency park my car, run to the beach, and point my camera upwards. I didn't even have time to extend the legs of my tripod, just time to place it on the ground and lie down beside it.
