The Vignette Hexagon Quilt
Wednesday again and this time I have made no flowers, but I figured out how to continue. This is a trial and so I keep it small. My 8 flowers are enough to make a small quilt. First I made a format and then choose a green fabric for the background. I made 20 hexies and positioned them between the flowers.So know I am one step further.
Oh no......not another hexagon quilt!!
Alas....yes another hexagon quilt!! I thought that I had put my hexagon templates away for a while but it seems I am in need of them once more. This time though, it is not to 'whip' up a fabulous 'quilt-as-you-go' hexagon quilt for me, but for a dear friend's 50th birthday. I love hexagon quilts. March Crazy Quilt Journal Project
I really had fun doing this block, not sure what it will look like when joined to whatever goes next. I've done a rough sketch of each block, with three categories of colour/pattern, 1- blue sky, 2- water and 3- garden then put the sketches into a bag. I'm taking one out in the last week of each month to piece ready to embellish in the following month. Fabric is potluck. I just put whatever I thought would work together into a big bag, if the sketch says blue or garden then thats whats used…
