I started a new job last week. I am the new atelierista (art teacher) at a Reggio based preschool close to where I live and I just love love love it! Reggio is a play based approach that I learned about several years ago and immediately fell in love with.
displaying student's work - laminated pieces of construction paper and clothes pins with thumb tacks hot glued to back.I would probably draw my own frames on the construction paper and then spray paint the clothespins fun colors.
We enhanced the water tray by adding a washing line. As well as wringing the clothes of water and in turn developing gross motor skills they also developed their fine motor skills by squeezing open the pegs! Also lots of fun!
LOVE THIS! Make a hide and seek baby jigsaw puzzle. This is a wonderful idea to use for infants and toddlers. I can see other possibilities. would probably use for learning family members names and faces!
Sensory Wall shared by The EYLF Page . An inspiring idea for show and tell ~ send home a piece of cardstock.and on each childs' presentation day, voila! An artifact to add to the wall, and a discussion/ jumping off point.-I like the sensory wall.
DIY Sensory Blocks - a wonderful sensory toy for your little one, but wouldn't they be GREAT in speech therapy? Close your eyes, touch, now describe how it feels. Use your best vocabulary words for describing!
